It's As If Some Things
Are Simply Meant To Be.
This is the case with the Montvale Retreat Center.
Camp Montvale, located in Maryville, Tennessee, was for years the site of a summer camp operated by the YMCA, where hundreds of children created lasting memories of personal growth, confidence-building and skills training within a supportive, caring environment. However, economic conditions caused the camp to be closed in 2005, and since then, this place of exquisite beauty and outdoor wonder has sat dormant.
Enter Harmony Adoptions. In 1996, Harmony Adoptions began offering high quality, specialized adoption services to the East Tennessee area. With programs running the gamut from domestic and foreign private adoptions to finding permanent homes for abused and neglected children who are in the custody of the Tennessee Department of Children's Services, Harmony is nationally recognized for expertise in clinical design, implementation and exceptional outcomes, as well as for training other adoption professionals across the U.S.
Adoption begins a lifelong journey for these children and
their families. Those who are recovering from trauma need
extensive therapy, and their adoptive families require unique
training and ongoing support.

Harmony Adoptions builds on Montvale's
tradition of healing and learning by providing
camp-based therapeutic programs and
attachment therapy for adoptive families.
This rustic yet beautiful setting is the perfect
location for families to come together in a
supportive environment to strengthen their
family bonds and to work on their challenges
with the assistance of professional therapists.
Each year, these programs will benefit
hundreds of children, families and
professionals from all over the country.
A Dream Whose Time Has Come

Harmony Adoptions has a track record of
success both in clinical outcomes and in
securing funding for critical programs.
Harmony's office at Montvale allows an
existing funding base to assist in maintaining
and operating the camp facility. Also, a
dynamic and sustainable utilization plan has
been developed which will generate additional funds for the
Montvale Retreat Center. Other non-profit organizations and even
corporate groups are able to use the facilities at times when Harmony
is not operating its programs there, and in addition to training adoption
professionals, Harmony can provide team-building and other training
programs to corporations and non-profit organizations of all kinds.
